You have the choice of how much criteria to enter to locate the information you seek. For the best results, enter minimal search criteria. Please note that when criteria is entered for the Licensee Last Name, Licensee First Name, Licensee Middle Name, Mailing City, or Mailing Zip Code, you can enter partial data. Example: The letters smith are entered as criteria for the Licensee Last Name. When the Submit button is clicked, a search will be made for all Insurance Licensees that begin with the letters smith in the Last Name. Likewise, the search will access the spelling exactly as it appears on the DIFS database, which may vary depending upon format and punctuation. Example: The letters st. johns are entered as criteria for the Mailing City. Any licensee having a Mailing City of st johns (no period) would be excluded. A better choice would be entering st only. Also, the search will access the Licensee's mailing address city on the DIFS database, which may differ from the business address.
