LOCAL COMPETITION
AND BROADBAND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted an information
and data gathering questionnaire (FCC Form 477) to determine the extent
of local telecommunications competition and deployment of broadband services.
The questionnaire will assist the Commission in its efforts to further
implement the pro-competitive, deregulatory provisions of the Telecommunications
Act of 1996. The questionnaire will also help the Commission determine
whether advanced telecommunications capability is being deployed to all
Americans in a reasonable and timely fashion. (Form
