V. Activities in Michigan

This chapter covers recent activities of the Michigan Public Service Commission and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and is intended to supplement the information available on broadband deployment and indentify issues facing Michigan.

The first section is a summary of the comments filed in MPSC docket U-12855 regarding the issue raised by Sec. 322 of the MTA. The second section presents the results of surveys of broadband customers and providers conducted by the MPSC staff.

The third section excerpts from the recent MEDC report entitled "Link Michigan" which addresses numerous policy issues inportant to the future economic success of Michigan.
