On September 29, 2009, in case U-15801 the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) approved procedures dealing with the administration and allocation of electric load allowed to be served by alternative electric suppliers (AESs), under Public Act 286 of 2008. U-15801 requires utilities to make available on their Web sites an electric choice cap tracking system that allows customers to check on the status of the program.
