	LANSING, December 10.  The Michigan Public Service Commission 
will hold a public hearing on Friday January 4, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. to 
receive public comment and to set future hearing dates on Wolverine 
Pipe Line Company's application to construct, operate, and maintain a 
liquid petroleum products pipeline system in Ingham, Clinton, and Eaton 
counties.  The application, filed December 6, 2001, requests Commission 
approval of a 12-inch pipeline system, approximately 26 miles in length, 
for the transportation of liquid petroleum products, from a location on 
I-96 in the vicinity of Meridian Road in Ingham County to Marathon 
Ashlands Petroleum, LLC's Lansing Terminal located in Clinton County. 

	Any member of the public who wishes to make a statement without 
becoming a party to the case may do so by attending the hearing and 
advising the administrative law judge of his or her wish to make a 
statement.  Any member of the public wishing to become a party to the 
case must file a petition to intervene by December 28, 2001.  Persons 
must file an original and 15 copies of the petition with the Commission.  
The hearing will be held at the Michigan Public Service Commission's 
office, 6545 Mercantile Way, Suite 7, Lansing, Michigan.
